Run by Belle Holliday who has a Bachelor of Communication majoring in Media Production and has been making and editing films for 8 years, Belle’s approach to being a videographer is a result of her great love for what she does and her belief that a wedding video is so much more than just a record of the event from start to finish. It’s the story of a day with unique twists, irreplaceable moments, and often little things that occur that the bride and groom may not notice. Belle Holliday prides herself on creating a wedding video that captures all of these things and defines the personalities of her newlywed couple clients. Belle does this by meeting with couples early on for drinks, to get to know exactly who they are and keeping in contact with them throughout the whole planning and editing process to make sure the final product is the most personally touching documentary they will ever see, in a one hour video (depending on your package) as well as a highlights reel. Her friendly yet professional manner also allows Belle to blend in unobtrusively with the guests on the day. Photographs are a fantastic way of recording the events of the day and traditionally this is how people remembered their weddings. However, photographs only tell half of the story. They miss the cheer of your guests as you're announced 'husband and wife'. They miss the heartfelt speech by one of the bridal party members. They miss the music that you danced to and they miss the frantic rush of women for the tossed bouquet. Only video can capture all this and more. 'But my Uncle's got a good video camera; why not have him film it?' Consider the other factors that go into capturing a wedding video… The Sound… The video equipment and its use is only part of the story. What about the equipment and expertise used to capture the sound? This is one of the most important and difficult tasks facing the video producer. Belle Holliday Media Productions uses lapel mics for the vows, as well as onboard camera mics to capture the atmosphere / cheering etc and also a separate recorder to record any music played on the day. These are then edited together to get the best possible sound recording of your day. Editing… From a two-camera shoot, there can typically be from 4 to 8 hours of footage. This needs to be condensed in to a production that is concise and entertaining while also containing all the highlights of your day. We believe 90 minutes to 120 minutes is a good length for a wedding video. All the most important parts, like walking down the aisle, the vows, the kiss, and the tossing of the bouquet and garter at your friends, etc can be shown in this timeframe. We also insert chapter menus so you can choose which parts you want to watch and when. For any couples considering whether a wedding video is worth the investment, there are 4 affordable packages to suit all budgets which all include 2 videographers to capture the day so that nothing is missed. And on a day that passes so quickly, knowing everything is being caught on film means couples can be completely in the moment on the day and then re-live the experience on DVD for years afterwards. |
